Explore the remarkable work we’ve accomplished and the life-changing impact we’re creating for girls across Canada.

“If you can see it, you can be it. We are rewriting the archive of who belongs in the laboratory.”

Happiness Okeke stood before a room of expectant faces, her talk on Artificial Intelligence transcending lines of code. She spoke of ethical frameworks and the power of representation. For many, it was the first
time they had seen the future reflected in someone who shared their story.
O2
Lois Arokoyo brought the workshop down to earth literally. With real asphalt samples in hand, she guided the girls through the rigors of civil engineering. This wasn’t abstract learning; it was the tactile crunch of gravel and the precise science of urban foundations.
A glimpse into the Thomson Community School workshop
In partnership with Nanan Academy, we brought programming and robotics to life for 7th and 8th graders at Thomson Community School, sparking curiosity and creativity at every step.
“It was a wonderful reminder of what becomes possible when young girls are given the tools, space, and encouragement to explore STEM.”
O1
The girls were introduced to the Edison robots, learning how they work and how to harness their capabilities to design and build their very own food-themed game, bringing their own ideas to life from the ground up.
O2
Using a maze, students explored concepts of speed and time to understand how the Edison robot navigates its environment, then put their analytical thinking to the test designing and building their food game, making thoughtful decisions and solving problems along the way.
A glimpse into the workshop of the STEM Girls Drive
Spending the day with the Embers at F.W. Johnson Collegiate where paper, straws, and curiosity launched the next generation of builders..
“When girls take up space in STEM, they don’t just participate. They lead, build, and transform the world around them..”
For privacy and security reasons, images of the girls cannot be displayed or shared.

Using just paper, straws, glue, and tape, the Embers a bright group of 7 and 8-year-olds built their very own rockets. The room lit up the moment science was mentioned: hands shot up everywhere, a powerful reminder that creativity doesn’t need much more than simple tools and a big imagination.

A twist on Snakes & Ladders — where an automated mouse took centre stage — taught strategy, collaboration, and coding fundamentals in the most playful way. Then the girls got hands-on with real road samples and aggregate materials, because engineering truly is everywhere.
Exploring the many disciplines of engineering together, and sharing a glimpse into real-world design, daily responsibilities, and the impact that shapes the communities around us.
Representation and visibility matter. When girls see themselves in STEM, a world of possibilities opens up and that’s exactly why we keep showing up.
O1
Together we explored the many disciplines of engineering from project design to the daily responsibilities that come with it. Girls got a genuine glimpse into how technical decisions ripple outward and shape the communities people live in, making the abstract feel tangible and urgent.
O2
Students were challenged to design their own city layouts and watching them present their urban visions, complete with eco-friendly solutions, was nothing short of inspiring. Activities like these spark creativity, encourage problem-solving, and help young minds absorb complex ideas in playful, memorable ways.
A glimpse into the workshop of the F.W. Johnson Collegiate
Our Founder was invited to speak to both undergraduate and graduate STEM students, sharing her journey and the three things she believes every student needs to build a career they’re proud of: experience, skills, and visibility.
Opportunities can’t find you if you’re invisible. Show up, find a mentor who will recommend you when you’re not in the room, and network so you build your net worth.
O1
Experience isn’t just internships or co-op terms, it’s every volunteer shift, retail job, student club, and side project teaching you how to work, not just what to know.
O2
Skills aren’t just your GPA. They’re technical, transferable and they’re built, not inherited.
O3
Opportunities can’t find you if you’re invisible. Get on LinkedIn. Show up. Find a mentor who will recommend you when you’re not in the room, and network so you build your net worth.
