At Girls, Be YOU, we focus on empowering women and girls to step into these spaces with confidence, opportunity, and support, forming the heart of who we are and what we do.

Meet the Founder

Lois Arokoyo is dedicated to increasing female participation in STEM through mentorship, community engagement, and educational programs. She is an engineer, speaker, and youth advocate passionate about expanding opportunities for girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 
Through her work, Lois creates spaces where young girls can see themselves as innovators, problem-solvers, and future leaders. She has led STEM initiatives, organized community workshops, and collaborated with educators and organizations to make STEM more accessible and inclusive.
Beyond her work in engineering, Lois is deeply committed to youth leadership and global engagement. She previously served as Vice President of the United Nations Association, Regina Branch and is currently part of a cohort with the Organization for Economic Development and Diplomacy, continuing her commitment to policy, leadership, and international collaboration. She has participated in international forums and initiatives focused on empowering young people and advancing equitable opportunities in education and the workforce.
Lois believes that representation matters and that when girls are given the tools, support, and encouragement to pursue STEM, they don’t just participate in the future; they help build it.
